Product OverviewThe SDLM-051-095-01-A is a analog-feedback version of Moticont’s one-inch-stroke direct drive linear servo motor. Its housing measures 2.000 in. (50.8 mm) in diameter and 3.750 in. (95.3 mm) long. The actuator provides a 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) stroke, 5.0 lb (22.2 N) of continuous force, and 15.8 lb (70.2 N) of intermittent force at a 10% duty cycle.Performance and ConstructionThe non-commutated direct-drive design eliminates ball screws, gears, belts, and other mechanical transmission components. Direct coupling to the low-inertia output shaft provides zero mechanical backlash, no cogging, high acceleration and deceleration, smooth bidirectional motion, quiet operation, and long service life.Analog Position FeedbackThe SDLM-051-095-01-A provides an integrated analog position-feedback output. Final position resolution depends on the external interpolation electronics, controller, signal conditioning, mechanical installation, load, and servo tuning.Key Features• 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) linear stroke• 5.0 lb (22.2 N) continuous force • 15.8 lb (70.2 N) intermittent force at 10% duty cycle • Integrated analog position-feedback output • Non-rotating output shaft with plain linear bearings • Direct-drive operation with zero mechanical backlash and no cogging • High acceleration, rapid reversal, quiet operation, and long service life ApplicationsCustom Servo Systems: Applications using external interpolation electronics, custom servo controllers, and specialized feedback processing.Automation and Test: Assembly, inspection, test equipment, semiconductor handling, and precision force control. Optical and Scientific Equipment: Optical positioning, scanners, laboratory automation, and dynamic motion systems. Mechanical Integration and ControlThe analog feedback output allows the system designer to select interpolation and control electronics according to the required resolution and bandwidth. Threaded mounting features support direct load connection. For closed-loop operation, use a compatible servo controller and current amplifier selected for the required force, speed, duty cycle, load, and motion profile. |
