This 12.7 mm (0.500
in.) stroke compact linear servo motor with built-in shaft and bearing is just
31.8 mm (1.250 in.) in diameter. The housing is only 25.4 mm (1.000 in.) long
and combined with the coil end the total length is 34.95 mm (1.375 in.). In the
fully extended position, the 3.175 mm (0.125 in.) diameter shaft extends 15.9 mm
(0.625 in) beyond the face of the housing. The shaft has a M2.2X0.45 x 5.1 mm
deep thread, and the housing and coil ends have two M3.5X0.6 mounting holes on a
12.7 mm (0.500 in.) bolt circle for easy integration into new or existing
applications. |

Product OverviewThe HVCM-025-022-003-01 is a hollow core linear voice coil motor designed for fast, precise, short-stroke motion. Its 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) clear through-aperture allows optical beams, illumination, wiring, tubing, or other components to pass through the center of the actuator.Performance and ConstructionThe actuator measures 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) in outside diameter with a 0.875 in. (22.2 mm) housing length. It provides a 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) stroke, 16.9 oz (4.7 N) of continuous force, and 53.5 oz (14.9 N) of intermittent force at a 10% duty cycle. Its non-commutated brushless direct-drive construction provides smooth bidirectional force, zero cogging, quiet operation, rapid acceleration and deceleration, and long service life.Key Features• 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) clear through-aperture• Compact 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) housing outside diameter • 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) linear stroke • 16.9 oz (4.7 N) continuous force • 53.5 oz (14.9 N) intermittent force at 10% duty cycle • Brushless, non-commutated operation with no cogging • Direct-drive motion with zero mechanical backlash when coupled directly to the load • Fast response, high acceleration, and smooth force control ApplicationsOptical and Laser Systems: Optical focusing, beam steering, scanning, illumination, laser drilling, cutting, welding, and machining.Medical and Laboratory Equipment: Diagnostic instruments, haptic feedback, testing systems, sampling, and precision positioning. Semiconductor and Industrial Automation: Wafer handling, inspection, short-stroke positioning, dynamic vibration absorption, precision assembly, and automated test equipment. Mechanical Integration and Closed-Loop ControlThe actuator includes threaded mounting provisions for integration into new or existing equipment; refer to the mechanical drawing for the applicable thread size, bolt circle, and mounting depth. For closed-loop position or velocity control, the motor can be combined with an appropriate position sensor, mechanical guidance system, servo controller, and current amplifier. Final positioning accuracy and repeatability depend on the sensor, guidance mechanism, load, structural stiffness, controller, and servo tuning. |
