Product OverviewThe HVCM-016-010-003-01 is a compact hollow core linear voice coil motor designed for fast, precise, short-stroke motion. Its 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) clear through-aperture allows optical beams, illumination, wiring, tubing, or other components to pass through the center of the actuator.Performance and ConstructionMeasuring only 0.625 in. (15.9 mm) in outside diameter and 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) in housing length, this miniature actuator provides a 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) stroke, 5.0 oz (1.4 N) of continuous force, and 15.7 oz (4.4 N) of intermittent force at a 10% duty cycle. Its non-commutated brushless construction provides smooth bidirectional force, zero cogging, quiet operation, high acceleration and deceleration, and long service life.Key Features• 0.125 in. Mechanical Integration and Closed-Loop ControlTwo threaded mounting holes are provided on a 0.250 in. (6.4 mm) bolt circle in both the housing and coil ends for integration into new or existing equipment. The Imperial model uses 2-56 UNC-2B threads, and the metric version uses M2.2 x 0.45 threads. For closed-loop position or velocity control, the motor can be combined with an appropriate position sensor, mechanical guidance system, servo controller, and current amplifier. Final accuracy and repeatability depend on the sensor, guidance mechanism, load, structural stiffness, and servo tuning. |
